FF Coloring up the Season

*** Second post today***
This weeks Friday Focus over on the newsletter, Latisha is coloring up the Season. Pull out those beautiful copics and color up your season. I choose Christmas and the wonderful Christmas Wreath for my card. I love all the different ways you can color up this wreath. I used the Copic collections sets called Flesh tones 1 and 2, Violet, Sky, and Spring greens. I have cut this wreath out and popped it up on dimensionals as well. The center was the hardest thing to cut out, but I like how it turned out.

For my second card I went with the smaller wreath in the set and did a long and low card. I used the same copic collections but added also R29 copic and some sparkles to the wreath.

Flat rate mailers

I hope you had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. I enjoyed mine and now its the start of a new week. A reminder that Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks start on Wed. so be sure to check back with me then.
Today I am showing you some flat rate mailers for Christmas cards. I spend a little too much in postage every year with my cards and I am really trying to cut it down a little. I don't want to cut anyone off my list. Now I did cut my list last year and I still spend a lot. So this year my goal is to have the ones mailed less bulky so they are one postage stamp.
Here are two variations that are not bulky but stiill are classy looking. I used my Holly and Doves set from Flourishes. I added a little scoring to them both, some swiss dots to the other and a few brads. Both panels are up on dimensionals. Very simple yet a classy look I think. Hope you have a wonderful day, see you back here Wednesday!

Fancy Fold Friday

Happy Friday! Oh boy am I ready for the weekend. Not a thing planned and ready for the Colts game Sunday. Whohoo... :0) Today's friday focus on Flourishes newsletter is brought to you from Christine and her Fancy Folds. Its kinda fun to have a different fold every now and then. I did a wallet fold or tri-fold depending on what you call it. I call it a wallet fold since it opens just like a trifold wallet. This is for Jan and Mike and I wanted to try and keep it a little more on the masculine side for Mike. I went with the Cottage home set for the front.

Here is the center where I stamped the sentiment and framed the sentiment with a spellbinders label cut out I had. Stamped a few clouds and added some birds to the top.

Then here is what it looks like all open. I have a scripture stamped on the bottom, and the middle panel is where I wrote my message.
Nothing fancy here, but it is a different and fun fold. Be sure to check out the gorgeous creations the girls made:

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Two quick requests

A friend called late last night and needed two really quick cards for today. Talk about short notice, lol So these are very quick and simple cards. I pulled out two sets that I haven't used in awhile. This first one is using Make it Count from CTMH. I distressed the one panel behind the clock, sponged around the clock but not the center and made a background with the other images. Easy Peasy..
For this one I used my trusty ole set Lovely as a Tree from SU. I love these trees, they are perfect for any occasion. I stamped them in Old olive, then with my markers colored in some of the leaves. I have the tree panel up on dimensionals. Again Easy Peasy.

I took these pictures late last night on my stamping table so the picture is not great, but she came and got them last night. Maybe I need to make a planner for her. hee hee Kidding... Hope you have a wonderful day!

Seafoam Santa

Happy Monday! I had a relaxing weekend I sure hope you all had a great weekend. I have to say Football was rather interesting... Drew was on FIRE for the Saints. They won and they deserved to win, they played awesome. Angel is excited she is 5-0. :0)
On to my card... I used the Santa, I believe set from Flourishes with some of my basic grey eskimo kissed dp. I used the pastel copics for his hat, hair and face. I like the softness of the seafoam green color. With a little sheer ribbon for a bow its all done, very simple.
Hope you all have a great day!

Holly and the ivy

Flourishes new releases are now available! So get to shopping! :0) This is the new set Holly and the Ivy and I so LOVE LOVE LOVE this set. This card is way out of my normal box, but I do love how it turned out. I cutout the image after I colored it, popped it up on dimensionals and voila some ribbon and pearls all done. Thanks for looking! Have a great weekend!

Now for the goodies.... This is called Christmas Wreath. Oh isn't is just fabulous... I went with a rich and warm feeling of colors on this one. I took one of the sentiments in this set and added it to a spellbinders label and popped it up on a dimensional. Added a few pearls and some felt ribbon with the swiss dots bottom panel and all done.

This card has more of the fresh feeling of oranges and teals. I pulled out the swiss dots once again, added some sparkle (don't even say it lol) to the leaves and added the sentiment. Check out the DT cards: Christine Cindy Julie Latisha Laura Leslie and Sharon.

Hope to see you tonight for the fun and games! I told you this release was going to rock your stamping collection. hee hee Have a fabulous weekend if I don't see you tonight!

A Season for Santa and Holly

Ho ho ho.... Merry Christmas...... to Santa, I believe and Holly background! I have to tell you that my hubby said this is a *classy* Christmas card and I have to make these for our cards this year. How cool is he!!!! I simply embossed with gold embossing powder and added some poinsettia flowers to the hat and some gold cord with some scoring around the border. I have to agree with hubby though, I love how this turned out. Some exciting news behind this set also... Flourishes has a new designer, Becky Fleck who in turn designed this Santa, I believe set. She is a superstar in the scrapbooking world and you might know her from her site Pagemaps.com.
Here is a side view for you to see the gold embossing a little better. These pictures really don't do this card justice honestly....

For my Holly background I went with the rich velvety ribbon and a gold slider for this Christmas card. I stamped the holly in old olive and used a marker to color in the berries. Very simple.

Check out the girls creations: Christine Cindy Julie Latisha Laura Leslie, and Sharon.

A Season of Holly and Ivy today

Welcome to my favorite day, well maybe top three favorite days for this release. bawhahaha This new set is called The Holly and the Ivy! I am just taken with these doves, they are just beautiful. Marcella is such a talented and fantastic artist and I STILL am amazed at each set she designs.
So I went with a warm and cozy feeling for this first card. With the chocolates, blues and some Dewfrost MB paper for the background you can't go wrong with this card. I lightly sponged the frame with the Spellbinders label still attatched to the panel for a soft glow behind the doves. I added a few rows of double sided ribbon and voila. I actually made this card for one of the girls at hubbies work for her sets of Christmas cards. So now I have to make me one. hee hee

For my sweet and pretty doves below I went with the girly side and some creamy colors with the satin ribbon, pinks and celery color. I sponged this frame also in the pinks, I added some pearls and flowers as well. Another one for the girls at hubbies work.

Now don't miss what the girls have created with this set or you will be sorry. Seriously this release ROCKS your stamping selection!Christine Cindy Julie Latisha Laura Leslie, and Sharon.
See you back here tomorrow!

I am so excited for this release so you might hear me stay this a lot... :0) Today our Friends of Flourishes blog team is starting us off with a sketch using the new sets called Christmas Drummers and Musical score. This first card is using the sketch which you can find over on the Newsletter. Be sure to check the newsletter on how you can win these sets today.
I stamped the Musical score in the background, and used a sentiment and one of the Christmas Drummers for the main panel.

My beautiful Angel from the Rejoice set now has some musical notes behind her. I am so excited to have some music notes with her now. yea... I masked the angel and stamped the Musical Score over the top of her. Added some crochet ribbon, satin ribbon, some sparkle to the wings and the dress. I am sending this to my friend Billie (myboys on SCS) She is yes a Vikings fan true to the season tickets they have each year. So no she doesn't get caught up in Who is Brett Playing for this year... Or does she now??? Hhhhmmm... That is the question of the day. Bwahahaha... Now my DS is a Favre fan. He grew attatched to him with GB for some reason, then followed him to the Jets and now VIkings. He said what if he played for the Colts mom, would you still like the Colts. I just laughed and assured my son that, that would NEVER happen. lol
Just having some inky fun. Hope you all enjoy your day and the big game tonight!
