Back from CHA

I made it home alive... LOL The plane rides were not that bad other than saying goodbye to DH and the Boys. I cried through the gate when I left and the nice man handed me some kleenex's and said take all I need. I should of grabbed the box. :0) I finally relaxed enough by day 2 I think wouldn't you say girls. hee hee They were all giving me a loving hard time about being away and really did help me feel better. I have some pictures to share but I will only put a few up for you today. Spending time with the kids yet I had to share some photos.
Here is some of the Fabulous Flourishes girls. Front Row left to right is Dee, Jan Marie, Julie and myself Back Row left to right is Leslie, Cindy and Dawn. I pulled my hair back that day and now I am wishing I didn't it looks horrible. ugh So much for a good photo. LOL Oh well... Jan Marie is such a sweet person and I really enjoyed meeting. Flourishes has some wonderful things picked out from CHA coming soon, but we also have some exciting things happening at Flourishes in the next several months. So be sure to stay tuned! All these girls were as sweet and kind as they are on the phone and emails. I have truly been blessed meeting each and everyone of them. I am looking forward to our next visit and hopefully Christine, Laura and Danielle can be with us.

Next photo is of me and Deborah aka BeadnStampn on SCS who I have had the pleasure of FINALLY meeting. We have talked for about 5 years on the phone and SCS and have finally gotten a chance to visit in person. Me and Julie went to dinner the last night with Deborah to cheeseburger paradise and had ice cream for dinner and talked. This photo is actually of me and Deb in the car at about 10pm since we weren't paying 20 bucks for parking. lol I laughed so much that evening and really really am so glad we got to finally meet. Now if we can get our twins together that would be even sweeter! Big hugs Deb!!!!

Well that is all for now I have a birthday party we are going to, then get the last minute puppy things since we are getting him on Friday next week my birthday present. YEA!!! I will be catching up on blogs later this week. Have a wonderful weekend.

CDS August Sneak Peeks

Happy Friday! Today is day 3 of Clear Dollar Stamps August Sneak peeks. All the sets you are seeing will be available on August 1st. So let's get started....
This first set I am showing you is called Welcome Little One. I have made a little bassinet that will hold a few tiny bottles of powder, shampoo and a gift card for a friend of mine who is expecting. I combined a few bassinet ideas that I have seen. I do like how this turned out so sweet. I stamped and cut out the little teddy bear to add to the gift.

I bought this framed cork board that had a center piece to add a photo. Instead I stamped out one of the sentiments in the Welcome Little One set and added the bassinet. I also painted the outside and the inside of the wood white. This is for Jamie the DIL of Pat Smethers that is expecting her first baby. She can use pins and add photos or what not to the cork board. I didn't add a lot to it since it will be pinned with all kinds of things so it would look too cluttered. the buttons are so cute as the wheels and I also added some sparkle to the bassinet, hard to see in the photo. I hope she likes this.

My next set is called Home Tweet Home. This is a fun little set that has lots of options. I made a cute little apron card that is holding a tag in the pocket. I added some pearls to the pocket and used some eyelets that I haven't used in years and I do mean years. LOL

I like this little heart door that is in the set, so here is the card with the little door swung open and you can see the little birdie flying around. hee hee This ribbon is awesome in the Red Velvet and Spruce needle.

Be sure to check out the sneak peeks from Lori, Laurie, Katie, Christi, Trudy, Gloria and Kim today! I will have some photos from CHA later this weekend. I am still flying home as we speak ! Have a wonderful day!

For Naomi

Over on Flourishes newsletter today its a Free For All Friday. This is the last day for the new release bundle at 10% off when you buy all 3 sets together don't forget. This is a little gift set for a 5 year old little girl named Naomi. We were listening to a pod cast of Christine and her DH preach at their church on Leaving a legacy of faith. In listening to this service (which was awesome by the way) Christine shared about Naomi and her family. Naomi just underwent brain surgery a few weeks ago. Her family is not only going through all that goes along with surgery and hospital visits etc, they are finding time to minister to the other parents and kids at the hospital that are sick. Now that is just AWESOME! Setting your own situation aside to help others speaks volumes and I just hope that God blesses them for the faith and love they are showing others.
This looks like a card which it is, however I added a pocket to the inside and I have stamped out some extras of the Enjoy the Ride set for Naomi to color. I thought this fun little bookmark would be put to good use while she is at the doctor's offices. I hope she likes the gift. I have some sparkle added to the mane but its hard to see in the photo. Check out the girls Free for all Friday creations:

Only 3 more days till CHA. I am on a rollar coaster of feelings about this whole thing. LOL But the girls promise I will be safe and have a great time! The boys are a little nervous that dad will be making dinners and lunches. ha-ha The closer we get to me leaving the more anxious they are getting. They even asked if I could say I was sick and couldn't go. Aaahhh... they are so sweet. Making it harder and harder for me though. LOL It is going to be good for me and them!
Don't forget that Clear Dollar Stamps sneak peeks begin next Wed. 28th. I will only have a post on the 30th till I get back! Hope you have a fabulous week and see you at CHA if you are there!

Girlfriend handbag

Yea we are home! Boy does the laundry pile up when you are out of town. Sheessh... I am now packing and getting ready for CHA. Oh am I nervous... never been away from the boys other than a night at grandma's house, so this trip will be quite the experience for me. Along with meeting some fabulous stamping friends. :0)
I get back home and the first thing I do is dive into the Dirty Girl challenges for 2010. WHOHOO I love these challenges they are so totally fun. I ofcourse am combining some challenges since I am doing 15 things at once and not one of them is suppose to be stamping. haha
This is also for the Totally Stampalicious blog challenge to create something for your girlefriends. I used my Cafe Scarlette. I need a birthday gift (1 thing on my to do list) so I made this little handbag from a boat template off SCS. I used a magnet under the flower to keep it closed. I have some goodies for a pampered day, she is going to love this. This meets the Dirty Girl challenges from Betty, Amber, and Holly aka toy. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a wonderful day!

Video Sneak Peek Flourishes

***Totally Stampalicious Blog Hop and New Release is below this post***

Welcome to the last day of Flourishes Sneak Peeks. All the July sets are in the store now and available for purchase. Don't forget about the Release Bundle that contains all 3 sets at a discount for a short time.
This is my first ever video or video sneak peek. But the only way to show this was on video. Be gentle in your comments we only had time for one take since this was for the boys teacher this year and we were late for the last day of school. LOL

This was so much fun to make and the boys teacher absolutely LOVED it. She cried and was just amazed. I couldn't add a lot of fufu stuff since it needed to be functional for years to come. However I added the right amount of everything she said. The boys were just beaming when they brought it in. The kids were so excited but mad that they weren't going to be the first class to use it. hee hee
Flourishes Power Hour Release party last night was fun. Stop on over at the Flourishes Blog for you chance to win this set today called Enjoy the Ride. I stamped out all the horses and then glued them with the magnet in the center and put different designer papers from Memory box and Basic grey for the back of each horse. That way when you look through you will see some fancy paper and not a white back of the horse. This turns as you see in the video. Each child will pick the color of horse they want and have their name written on the oval. I used clear card stock and with a washable marker she can re-use the ovals for years. The teacher will write her 12 jobs on the spellbinders label at the top, she always has 12 jobs each year in the class.
Be sure to check out the fantastic sneak peeks from the DT:

This first one is called Red Hat Stella. I pulled out some Cosmo Cricket Early Bird paper for my color choice. Tried using some different scalloped pieces for a change on the front. She is so fun and all the sentiment make me laugh in this set.

This next one is called Sweet Birthday kids . I found this fun easel card attatched to a little drawer on this Joani's blog here. Super fun and easy to make. I love the drawer ideas as you know from my other ones I found. They just make for fun little gifts.

Okay so this one I made 2 of for the girls at DH work. So darn funny! This is Morning Margaret. She so reminds me of a few people in the mornings. bawhahah

When I first saw the Seeds of Friendship set I kept seeing a post card, I know strange. However how cool would that be to use the circle for the sun and add a beach scene. The paper is from the Webster's pages Petite Papers collection. I added a little bit of twine woven through punched holes and with a few pearls on the top and the sparkle on the water its done. Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was fun and relaxing. Today I have a card made for the Inspiration challenge over on SCS. This Oompa site is darling, I went with this little lamb photo for my IC. I pulled the color green mostly and use a lamb from CDS called Loving Lambs for my card. I do love how this turned out, very sweet for a get well card. This is one of my favorite sets from Clear Dollar Stamps. I used some grosgrain ribbon with a felt button, added a few pearls and done.

What's Cookin?

Peach cobbler is cookin! I love peach cobbler and we have a friend who asks for it everytime he comes over. I use nectarines instead of peaches but it works either way. So what is this recipe card for? Flourishes Pre-Challenge... its all about backyard BBQ's, pot lucks or dinner parties. Create a recipe card or creation with your favorite recipe and post over at FLLC Blog here for your chance to win the entire release coming out next week. All the details are on the blog and our sneak peeks will start on Wed. Remember our Power Hour Release Party is on Thursday night at 9pm Central in the SCS Forum.

I pulled out the delish Cherries and Peaches set. I added a little ribbon and cut the spellbinders pendant in half to create the bottom. A few jewels to top if off and this will fit nicely in my 3 ring binder. I have been meaning to make a recipe book for a gift and I think this has jump started my idea list. yea! Check out the recipe creations from the fabulous DT:

All of us are so excited and can't wait to see him. The first week of August we will get to bring him home so we are getting everything ready at the house. Watching and reading everything we can on dogs and puppies so we are well informed. hee hee Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I'll Be home for Christmas CC100

Time seems to be eluding me since we got back and I am trying to catch up. ack... Do you ever feel like that? I hope I am not alone. Well I had to combine some challenges for this card so I would feel like my list was getting smaller. hee hee This is for the Color Throwdown 100 challenge. They have some FABULOUS prizes and goodies for this challenge. Be sure to check out the blog for all the details. I used all the colors in the main image of the CC and I kept the jewels to 3 of the 4 colors.
This is also for Flourishes Christmas in July challenge *song inspired* My song is I'll be home for Christmas, every year we walk into my in-laws at Christmas time and she has a beautiful fresh bouquet on her table. It always smells so wonderful and just makes you feel at home. I used the Winter Bouquet with a few jewels for accents. Scored around the border and a little sparkle on the leaves. You have a chance at winning a Christmas set of your choice from Flourishes by playing along in the Christmas in July challenge, read all about it here.
The fabulous Timeless Tuesday challenge is all about Christmas creations. How cool I got 3 challenges done in one card. hee hee Gotta love when your list gets smaller and smaller all in one shot. To make this month even better Flourishes is celebrating the 12 days of Christmas in July. For the next 12 days all our Christmas sets will be 25% off (store reflects sale prices already) now what better time to shop! Thanks for stopping by, I am going to finish my list so I can catch up on blogging later tonight. Hope you have a wonderful day.

I got this little paddle board at the LSS and colored it white. I added this notepad for lists and used the new Chef Pierre from Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo line. It is sitting sideways but when its hung up it is straight, well the paddle is anyways. LOL My sister is going to love this, she needed something to write her lists on in the kitchen. I added just a few jewels and some ribbon. Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Rudolph the red nosed reindeer....

Had a very shiny nose.... Yep its Flourishes Christmas Spirit Challenge #3. This months theme for your Christmas creations is be inspired by a Christmas Song. Use the title or lyrics of a song. Check out the details over on SCS Flourishes Forum here and hope you get a chance to play along! Never too early to start your Christmas cards. More time to play in December then. hee hee
I loved the classic songs from my childhood like Frosty the snowman and Rudolph the red nosed reindeer. I even like some traditional ones, especially from Bing Crosby like A White Christmas. Oh his voice is just heaven.... I pulled out my Sleigh Ride set for this challenge. I added lots of sparkle to the antlers and the sleigh. Added a red jewel to his nose and a few to the sleigh. The silver border is some lined sticker and some silver twine for the reigns. Clean and crisp for a perfect Christmas greeting. I have a few more songs that I love so I will have more cards later this month. Be sure to check back tomorrow for Flourishes Friday Focus! Have a great day.
