Christmas Spirit Challenge 17

Good evening! Flourishes Christmas Spirit Challenge is an Inspiration piece this month. I am so excited to have so many Christmas cards already done this year. This is the coolest picture of a dining room, no way mine looks like this. But how cool would that be to have a room like this. I have two creations for this challenge. The first one here is using Warm Winter Wishes stamp set. I like this snowman so much, he just makes me smile. Added some of the new red and white checkered ribbon Flourishes got in from CHA. Obviously the colors were my inspiration in this card.
Now for my second creation I had some help from my DH. He is challenging me for one month to use no white in my cards and creations. GASP!!! Say what... I am not to use any white, that is insane. However I am in a rut and he thought this was a great solution and would force me to try other things. Ummm... okay I think. .

This is what I came up, I took the fan shape of the ornaments into account, the wood framing around the mirror and decorations. The tag is using a sentiment from A Gift for you. The paper on both the tag and card are from the new My Minds Eye paper pack called Lost and Found Christmas. The sentiment on the card is from Dove and Holly. Yes that is one white paper, however I did sponge it a bit, does that count? I used my new Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia for both my creations. I have so many ideas with this new Spellbinders and I can't wait to show you what I have been working onThis is so very very different from my normal work. I do like how it turned out. So maybe he is onto something with his idea. We will have to see. Thanks for stopping in tonight.

House Mouse and Friends Recipe challenge

This weeks House Mouse and Friends Blog Challenge is brought to us by Mary and she is challengeing us to make a recipe card. We have a few Sponsors this week be sure to check out the blog for all the details and linking up your creations.

This recipe card is a fun cool down ice cream recipe card. The adorable Air Head happy hoppers was a new stamp from the boys for my birthday so I had to use it. Perfect for this ice cream recipe and the kids loved making it fresh. Can be messy if your not careful but yummy in the end. Hope you get a chance to play along with us this week.
On a side note my left hand is doing much better. I can put my wedding ring back on so WHOHOO. I am on tight rules of how much typing to do and to keep a close eye on it but over all its back to normal. The hunting and pecking was just not working for me. ha ha Hope you have a fabulous day!

TS Monday Bookmarks

Hopefully everyone is safe from the conditions this weekend. Several stamping friends are without power, thankfully everyone is safe. Today on the Totally Stampalicious blog its back to school with making a bookmark. Be sure to check out the blog for all the details and linking up your creations. The TS store has a fabulous new look, check it out!

My bookmark is using the adorable new Bugaboo we released last month called Deacon Swing. He is just so darn adorable, love his hair. Might have to keep this one for myself as he reminds me of the twins. They have more stuffed animals than any one kid should have. ha ha Hope you get a chance to play with us this week!

B is for Baby

I am working on a card request for a friend, she asked for a few baby cards. Gender neutral is so hard to make for me. I think I accomplished it with this one though. I used the set B is or Baby from Hanna Stamps. I popped up two of the blocks and added stickles to them. Very sweet and simple I think. Check back tomoorow for Flourishes 4th birthday blog hop and challenge! Thanks for stopping by.

New Templates at CDS Scripture box

Happy Monday! Today is the reveal day of the August new templates at Clear Dollar Stamps. Yesterday I showed you the new Hot Air Balloon. If you missed it check out the post below.
You can see all the templates available here. This one is a scripture box that is much prettier than the ones I remember as a kid. Similar to one that I made a few weeks ago. This is what it looks like when you do not have a scripture card displayed. This scripture showing at all times is from The Lord's plan.

Here is one of the scriptures displayed from the inside using Scriptures of hope. The paper is from basic grey sweet threads. A few florals an dpearls to finish it off.

Some of you know that last week I hurt my hand not thinking it was that bad. Well I actually strained a nerve so I am unable to type, as I need to let it rest and heal. Hunting and pecking with one hand is not fun. ha ha Hopefully will be good later this week.

Check out my stamps for sale at the top of the page under home page. Had to organize and purge as much as it hurt to do! Hope you have a great day.

Clear Dollar Stamps Favorite Blog Hop

Happy Sunday! Welcome to Clear Dollar Stamps Monthly Blog Hop. If you just came from Laurie's Blog you are in the right place. If you are just joining us head back on over to the Clear Dollar Stamps Blog to start your hopping!
This hop is all about some of your favorite things. Now for hopping along you have a chance at winning a $10 gift certificate for the CDS store for purchase of clear or digital stamps ONLY. Winners will be randomly chosen from comments received on two DT member blogs. Winners will be announced on the CDS blog Thursday, August 25th.
Now how does one person choose just one thing? I mean come on that is crazy talk. So you are going to see a few of my favorite things along with a sneak peek at one of the new templates coming out tomorrow! You can see all the other templates that are out HERE. Say hello to the Hot Air Balloon. Is this just not the cutest? I have so many ideas for this, went with a thank you for a friend for this one. This is not your normal candy corn either, this is her favorite the Jelly Bean candy corn. Expensive little goodies at that but she is worth it.

So if you follow my blog or have stopped by at any point you have to know the first thing that is a favorite of mine... white paper or white space. I live by white paper on everything. I hardly make anything without it. The second would have to be pearls. I LOVE pearls as an embelishment and have them on all cards big or small they are there. The thank you sentiment is from Elegant Accents. Those are a few of my favorite things in stamp land. hee hee Now hop on over to Cassie's Blog for your next stop. Check back tomorrow for the other templates coming out! Have a wonderful day!

Free for all Friday

Flourishes Free for all Friday's are always fun I think. I am going to show you a little gift bag that I decorated up. Don't forget the New Release Bundle ends today and your chance at the 10% discount on the entire release.

This was a plain yellow bag that I took and added a bit of flair to it. Hollyhocks are such a pretty flower and in yellow they really seem springy to me. I stamped about 3/4 of the image on the side and colored the petals with copic collections Buttercup . Tied a bit of the black gingham ribbon around the handle and added a bow to the side.

Here is a close up of the panel. The sentiment was stamped on Spellbinders Classic oval, then layered onto the Fancy Tags Three. A few jewels to top it off and voila a transformed gift bag. Be sure to check out the goodies today from the Design Team:

Godly Mother Framed Gift and winner of blog candy

Happy Wednesday! First I need to announce the winner for my blog candy and that winner is....
Lin who said " Oh my GOODNESS, Stacy, what a giveaway! LOVE this set so much, especially the little girl with the watering can. And the sentiments are perfect too. Your cards are amazing, thanks for the inspiration!"
Congrats! I have contacted Lin already and will be mailing out her goodies today. Thank you to everyone for your encouraging words.

This months Dirty Dozen theme is awesome, so many things came to my mind. It really sparked a fire under me to get this gift done for my mother in law. She is one of the best gifts from God. Most don't have this kind of relationship with there mother in laws that I do with Sheryl.. Don't get me wrong she has her moments ha ha overall she is such a blessing to me and my family. Her faith is rock solid and man when you think she can't inspire you with more words of wisdom she shows it up in a way you never expected.

This sentiment is from the set A Godly Mother. Sheryl has recieved a few cards from me with this already but I wanted something she can hang in her room at the house. This paper is from SU and its been sitting here with the frame waiting to be completed for awhile now. :0) Like I said I needed a fire to get this done. Her colors are caramal, chocolate and lavendars so the IC piece was perfect. I know she will love this and the hug that she gets when I give it to her. Great DD this month as I have several ideas already working there way in my head. Now to find the time to get them all done. ha ha
Tomorrow night is Totally Stampalicious new release and blog hop. Be sure to stop back in tomorrow!

Can you smell the sweat...

the leather pads... the popcorn? Pre-season is always a great week at the Morgan home. The start of a new season, new players and even new fans. I have a new stamp for this fun season from Greeting Farm Stamps called Football Ian. hee hee Talk about adorable, he sure makes me smile.
Now in the past I have been quite the enthusiasts when it comes to football, but always sweet and innocent. Nothing like those fans who send their own teams colors in a cookie bouquet to the opposing teams house the day of the super bowl. I mean come on... WHO would do that to another loving friend? Right Angel??? Surely not sweet and innocent little ole me. HA!
Okay Maybe I am not that innocent after all. And yes I did send a bouquet in the colts colors to Angel that year of the super bowl. I was however a very good and gracious loser when she called squeeling like a school girl when they won. Best called game I have seen in football if I do say so myself. Anyways, I made an interactive calendar for Angel to keep track of her teams games and dates. She just has to move her quarterback up and down the left side to the week of her games. Now looky looky who they play on Oct. 23rd. How nice... :0) Have to make sure that game is marked properly.

Now I had to have my own interactive calendar as well, I mean come on what fan wouldn't. Apparently the Saints think they are bigger and better than all the rest because I couldn't get the schedule for them to print any smaller than that. Enjoy pre-season everyone!

Our FLIP Program is starting a new year and a great gift for those that join.
The NEW 1,2,3 create kit is called Trendsetter. Beautiful kit and only a few so make sure to get it first.
Now for my exciting news! I submitted a card on a submissions call to Crafting Ireland magazine and they accepted my creation. Very excited as this as this is the 3rd issue. They have some great tutorials and ideas. I hope you check out the magazine and my blog candy farther down. This is the card I submitted below using the new set Sweet Days of Summer. The beautiful Spellbinders Parisan Accents with a ribbon bow tied off my sentiment tag perfectly. The tags also used Spellbinders Nested Pennants and I just cut the white one down to make it a bit shorter. The water splashing about does have some sparkle added to it.

How sweet is this one? I adore kraft paper however I don't have any other than the memory Box Valise paper pack that was screaming for me to use it. I like when my paper talks to me. ha ha For the lattice framing on the top and bottom Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Rectangles have a great edge. I basically cut off the edges of the two long sides and used them as the edges, great idea I think. Finish it off with a bit of pink plaid ribbon and twine.
Now for the blog candy. Since they accepted my creation using the new set Sweet Days of Summer that is the set you will recieve along with some Basic Grey, Memory box papers, new primas that Flourishes is carrying, ribbons, pearls and fancy brads. Today we have sneaks of Italian Garden. Another make your mouth water and your senses go crazy stamp set.

This was a fun creation for me today. I used the Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Rectangles for the frame part of the card. I then added folded paper to the back so you cant see the back. If that made sense at all? I was ahead of the game this time and I masked the tomatoes and centered them inside the Seeds of Freindship stamp set. Tomatoes were colored with copic collections Poppy and the leaves colored with Fields. Tied a bow with the celery gingham ribbon and tied off the middle with some red bakers twine with a Basic Grey Jovial Button. I love how this turned out, the sparkle once again is not showing but it is there.

If you just came from Barbara's blog you are in the right spot. This challenge is Let's hunt for a challenge. Since Hollyhocks was perfect for this challenge that is what I used for my flower. The beautiful Spellbinders Fleur De Lis rectangles are a great combo with these flowers. I cut out the center and used it as a back frame sorta speak. Some tiny square pink rhinestones for the center of the frame. You can never go wrong with white crochet ribbon and then some pink pleated silk ribbon with a finishing touch ribbon slider to complete the card.
Now you are off to get your next CLUE at Silke's Blog. See you back here tomorrow!

Sharon recieved this in person from me at CHA last month and a few hugs to go with it. hee hee These Hollyhocks were masked to create a huge flower garden at the bottom of the panel. House Mouse and Friends Challenge ATC

Welcome to House Mouse and Friends Blog Challenge 101. Did you have a chance to get through our Blog Hop and 100th challenge 2 weeks ago? Hopefully you didn't miss out on your chance at the wonderful prizes and creations we had. This week our Host is Lori and she is challengeing us to ATC cards. Those are cards measuring 2.5 x 3.5. Our Sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp store with a $15 Gift Card. So get to stamping!

This challenge was a bit hard for me as I am a simple stamper already so to make a smaller version of simple isn't easy. I did it however and I used the new House Mouse stamp called Give Peas a Chance. I have added some stickles to the pod however its hard to see in the photo. His fat little tummy just makes me smile. I hope you get a chance to play along with us!

Check back on Wednesday as I have some very exicting news and blog candy! Have a wonderful day!
