Blog Candy Break....

Happy Tuesday! Well I don't have a creation for you but I do have some blog candy. I need a stampers break, things are crazy busy. So I am going to take a little break and in the meantime offer up some fabulous blog candy. I have two fabulous sets from Flourishes called Mother's Words of Wisdom and Motherly Love. Along with an assortment of the awesome laces, trims and ribbons from the Flourishes store. Load of papers from My Minds Eye, Memory Box, Prima and Basic Grey. An assortment of primas from Prima, as well some gorgeous rosets, pearls, sparklers and more. A little something to help with anyones creative juices. I am not a huge fan of rules but the last blog candy I mailed was a bit expensive so I need to put a few rules on this one:
Rules
1. You need to be from North America if you are the winner.
2. Winner will be drawn from the jar by one of the twins. Whoever happens to run in here the fastest when I say I need a winner picked. ha!
3. Deadline to enter is May 2nd 9 pm EST. Winner will be announced May 4th with my Flourishes post that Friday.
4. If you would like to mention anything you want to see on my blog in the future you can, but not required.
Good Luck!

Where Flowers Bloom so does hope

Happy Friday! Today is Flourishes Free for all Friday. My creation is pretty straight forward today and I have to say I love how this turned out. My creation is using the new Botanical Bookplates Vol. 2 and I think this is my favorite of the two. I have to tell you this tailor-made classic bookplate die really is simple and creates a great card in minutes. Almost taking all the work out of a card, ha! Ofcourse you still have to color the image and that but see how simple this is and looks classy? Moving on... we have the flowers that are colored using Copic Collection Violet for the petals with a little of Y02 for the centers. Added a few jewels to the bottom. This textured piece I got my friend Pat, sorry I don't know the name. Finished it off with a little ribbon and button twine combo.
Don't forget about our New Release Bundle Discount, that ends tonight. Be sure to check out the creations from the Design Team:

FS271 Birthday Butterflies

Do you ever just have one of those Sunday services that make you really sit back and think? Yesterday was one of those days for me. Man was it ever good, really made me sit and think about a few things. So I got my journal out and took notes and thoughts I had as it was all still fresh on the mind. Something to pray about later this week.
Got to stamp a bit this afternoon for the FS challenge. This weeks Featured Stamper FS271 is Shellie aka Shellied. She has a fun and very creative gallery. This is the card I cased Poppy Thinking of you. I liked the one layer, simple image and over all CAS style. I kept to the one layer, white background and replaced the flower with two butterflies from Beautiful Butterflies. I really like how fast this came together also. Thought a rainbow of color was fun for the wings.

Things are moving and shaking at our house. Soccer is winding down, school is out in less than 45 days or so I am told. Several things coming up which means my stamping time is going to be very void! So if my posts are far and few between you know that I am running around like crazy. Well the 2 people who read my blog that will know. ha! Thanks for stopping in with me today. Have a great day!

Hello Baby, gift

Happy Friday! Today is the last day of our show casing for Flourishes April Release. All the Stamps are available now! A few reminders are at the bottom of the post here. Today we are showing you Hello Baby. This is an adorable set that will be used quite a bit as a few friends are expecting! I apologize for the pictures as whenever I make a large project I can never get a good picture. This was a baby gift I made for a co-worker of DH. This was a board with 9 wood plates that I bought at walmart for $2.00. I took all the wood panels out and painted half of them along with the frame. I replaces 4 of the plates with cork board so they can attach photo's or notes whatever they would like.
The pink satin Plisse ribbon was perfect to cover in between the slats. I stamped the sentiment in the top right corner directly on the wood after it was painted and then framed the sentiment. What looks like brads is actually a new product Flourishes is carrying called Candi, this is the Solid iced gems pack.
This is a close up of the center panel. For the baby shoes below I punched a hole in the top so I could run my ribbon through and hang them from the edge.
I really like how this turned out and they really loved the gift. Wish I could get a better photo as it really is a sweet gift. Hope you enjoyed all the creations the last few days.

House Mouse #117 So Sweet

Welcome to House Mouse and Friends Blog Challenge #117 So sweet. Our host this week is Jennifer. Some fabulous sponsors this week of Simon Says Stamp and Sweet Stamp Store. The prizes a $25 Gift Cert to Simon Says Stamp and a $10 Gift Cert to Sweet Stamp Store. Jennifers challenge is to create anything that includes chocolate, candy or your favorite sweet in the design.
Well sweets in our house is usually fruits. Yes I know boring but my boys will eat a bowl of fruit over candy any day. I am very thankful for that and so is our dentist as they have not had one single cavity! Used one of my first house mouse stamps for this card. Didn't turn out like I had planned but it does look cute. Loads of glitter on the leaves.
Hope you get to play along with us this week! Have a great day.

Grateful Butterfly

The Featured Stamper this week is Albongo aka Ali! She has a way of making white space look full of color and class! I chose to case this beautiful butterfly creation here. I kept the layout, layers, butterfly and colors the same. Changed the sentiment placement, stamp sets, colored my butterfly and added a jewel. The butterfly is from the set Beautiful Butterflies. One of my favorite butterfly sets to date. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed Easter with your family and friends!

Flourishes Mother's Day Challenge

Welcome to Flourishes Pre-Challenge which is your chance to win our entire April New Release. Simple make a creation for Mother's day. Be sure to enter your creation back on Flourishes Blog so you are in the running for the new release. Flourishes will be closed for the weekend to celebrate and enjoy time with family this Easter Weekend. We hope you will do the same.
Working on some non traditional Mother's Day creations. This one has a bit of flair to it with the summer colors of yellow and red. This is really different for me in design, but I do still have my white space. The flowers are from Botanical Bookplates Vol 1. The tag sentiment is from Tiny Flowers and Tags using the Tailor-made classic tags die. Turned out pretty cool for a Mother's Day card.

This is the sentiment inside as the outside doesn't have the traditional happy mother's day sentiment there. I kinda like it on the inside only for this one.

His and Hers Praying for you

Spring Break is so much fun as I have gotten to stamp a bit and play Lego's. I can only do so much of the Lego's then I need a mental break. ha! I made a his and her's praying for you set of cards. This way the guys get one and the girls still have their fluff and feel to it. This image is from Clear Dollar Stamps called Watermill. The praying for you sentiment is from Assemble Together. The gorgeous blooms on the girl version are some of my Pat blooms. These babies are precious and I don't just use them on anything. Both of them have stickles on the water. Easy peasy set of cards.
Hope you have a great day!

Holstein Birthday

Happy Monday! Day one of Spring break at our house! :0) This is for the Featured Stamper challenge 269. I cased this card HERE as I liked the layout and simplicity and ofcourse all that white space. Kept the layers, textured background, simplicity. Vickie's beautiful card is now turned it into a cute birthday card for a friends MIL. She owns a farm and wanted a holstein cow (black and white) so I used Moovelous from Totally Stampalicious for my creation. I don't know the name of this embossing folder but I do like it. Added a few pearls and the birthday tag. Voila!
Thanks for stopping in today! Have a wonderful day.

Partridge in a Pear tree

This months Christmas Challenge on SCS for the Dirty Dozen and Alumni is A Partridge in a Pear tree! Birds.... think cardinals, doves, partridges (never seen one personally, so I googled it ha!) or fat chubby winter blue birds. Any bird image in your Christmas creation. Anyone can play along with us, just put SCSCCAPR12 in your keyword search so we can find your creations.
I went with chubby snow birds for my creations from the stamp set Snow Wonderful. These birds are so chubby I love it. They fit in the Spellbinders Classic Keyhole Die. Very clean design with just a little bit of lace and sheer ribbon and some flourishes jewels for the background. Hope you can play along with us this month!
Spring break this week, yea! Looking forward to the rest after yesterday. We had a double header game for soccer in the wind and rain. It was so cold, if I was in charge I would of cancelled the games. Yet I am told that "I am soft and a mom". HA! Kids seemed to enjoy the sliding around in the mud though. Lots of hot chocolate drank yesterday. hee hee Hope you have a wonderful day!
