Are you ready for the weekend? We sure are and with only a few short days left of the school year we are ready for the days ahead. Today over on Flourishes Blog we are  going to continue on our theme of masculine cards that we began last week, giving you some more great inspiration for that guy in your life! The Senior Design Team is picking any set in our Flourishes Stamp Collection and showing off their masculine designs to you today. I know you'll be inspired and come away with some great manly ideas!
Since I used the fabulous What A Catch set last week I grabbed A Guiding Light for today's creation, surprise surprise. HA!   I stamped the boat onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink.
Colored with copic collections:

I wasn't sure what I was going to do for a sketch as nothing was coming to me so I head over to the Mojo Sketch blog and found this sketch MOJO295 . My center square is a bit larger but it works either way. My papers are from Color Made Easy Rich Browns collection and Creative Imaginations Loolah collection.  I sponged some clouds in the background and hand drew a few birds into the clouds. Popped the panel up on dimensionals and voila!
Don't forget we have a gallery full of creations using A Guiding light for you to see HERE. For another fun surprise this weeks Designer Focus is the wonderful Miss Cindy!!!

This is your chance to WIN A GRAB BAG by getting to know Cindy a bit more AND case one of her creations. Check out the Flourishes Blog for all the details!
Before I lose you completely we have some sad news, Danielle is stepping down from the DT. We are going to miss her, please be sure to wish her well for us. Now head on over to the Designers Blogs and see what they are cooking up for the men today:

Stuffed Goodness

Yummy to you all! Wish you had smellovision right now don't you??? ha ha   Since I am working on a creations for a few releases coming up,  I figured I would show you a stuffed French Toast I made Memorial Day weekend. Now this looks like regular french toast... but it has a secret on the inside and its yummy! The recipe is from non other than Food Network and its called French Toast filled with Strawberry cream cheese.
Inside this texas toast is a strawberry filling that you stuff inside before you fry then french toast like normal. After its all cooked as normal you spread a little bit of the filling still in the bowl over the top, I add some fresh strawberries cut up and then whip cream. Now I omit the orange liquor it requires and use orange juice instead. Tasty and super easy! Hope you enjoy.

Surprise 2013

Finally! Today is the day we are going to surprise our kids and the kids of our friends on the trip we have been planning and working on for the last few years. Back in 2008 we had the blessing of being able to go to Disney World for the first time EVER! We went with some great friends of ours and had the best time as you can imagine. Since then we have been saving and planning on going again and hitting Lego Land, Sea World and Universal all in the same trip if we can. Well today we are able to surprise the kids with the news and later this year we are getting to go on this trip.
This is what the kids will get to open to reveal the news. Sassy Cheryl's has this adorable new digi called We're All Ears that I bought and we had printed at my friends house. Added a film strip from my Silhouette machine to the edges and colored the image with copics. The picture above would not come out, it kept getting a glare on it. It is a picture of us all on our first trip. The kids are HUGE compared to that just 5 years ago. Oh my goodness I cried when I looked at the pictures. They are all so grown now, it makes this even better to be able to go again. There is a spot at the bottom for this years picture to be added.

Here is a closer view of the images. I made them roughly the size of each of the kids and colored their hair according to each kid. And yes the twins are exactly the same except one is a smidge taller as they are in real life. Otherwise I would hear about it. ha ha   Made two of these one for them and one for us to keep.

Thanks for sharing in my excitement. Have a fabulous day!

Jester Notebook

Today on the Whiff Of Joy blog we are all showing you some form of altered notebook or notepad. Check out the WOJ blog for all the creations in one place. Mine is rather simple and fun. In my altered stash of items there was a few of these small 3x4 notebooks that I bought to alter one day, perfect.
Stamped the King Jester Charlie out onto classic white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo black ink. Colored him with various copic markers. The Nestable shape Die-Light was a fun shape that I cut in half and used for the top and bottom of the image panel. Wrapped some bakers twine around the bottom and added my image panel. The sentiment notes was added to the Speech Bubbles Die-light. A little bit of liquid pearls silver to the top and voila! One of the twins grabbed this up as soon as they had the okay to keep it. hee hee

Fathers Day Fishing

Happy Friday and extra long weekend to you! Hopefully you will be sure to thank a service men for serving our country and be thankful for those who have passed that served to keep us safe.
Today Flourishes is playing around with my favorite masculine set called What a Catch. Oh I do love this set as we have so many fishermen and hunters in our family. Of course my husband is none of these but hey, at least the others are covered. ha!   A fun and different card from me today as well. I created a window to the front of the card and the inside has all the goodies instead of the front.
I die cut a Spellbinders classic oval out of the front designer paper from Theresa Collins called Memories and the base of my cardstock. Added two tabs with brads using our Perfectly Pierced Hourglass die. Stamped my fathers day sentiment and actually have that popped up over the bottom of the circle. So when the card is standing up it is all 3d looking if you know what I mean.
On the inside I stamped the fish onto the base layer of classic white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also stamped an extra fish out so I could cut him out and pop him up on the inside as well. Colored him with copic collections:

Once colored and added the extra popped up fish, the water needed some sparkle so added some stickles. Voila!   Did I entice you any? If you need a little more inspiration for this set, all you need to do is click HERE and travel over to the Flourishes Gallery.  Perfect inspiration for the guys in your life!

WOJ155 Pirate Birthday

Happy Wednesday! Whiff Of Joy just posted the new challenge #155 and its all about birthdays! Since we have several coming up and just finished with the twins this couldn't of been more perfect. I grabbed the awesome Secret Kit from the Spring and inked up this fun little guy in the set.
Colored him with variouc copic markers. Decided that this fun Entangled Die-Light would look cool as a frame around this little pirate. Stamped one of the sentiments to look like a flag and added some pearls. Voila! Hope you can play along this week. Have a great day!

FTTC221 Butterflies

This weeks Timeless Tuesday challenge is all about butterflies. Don't forget to check out the Flourishes Blog for the details on the challenge this week and linking your creations. This is fairly easy peasy today. I stamped these butterflies from Fanicful Flourishes using lavendar ink onto Classic White cardstock. Thought a long and lean card would be fun today, so lined them all up in a row.

Layered this panel onto some of our Color Made Easy Crocus cardstock using the darkest color. Then added some of the beautiful white lace trim to the right edge only. Two layers of the other shades of CME Crocus and tied some matching Color Made Easy Crocus lavendar ribbon to the edge.

My sentiment is die cut using our Tailor Made Classic tags die and tied with some jute twine. A few snow white pearls to the butterflies heads and voila! Hope you have a wonderful day.

HMF#145 Flower power

Happy Monday! The new challenge this week for the House Mouse and Friends Blog #145 is Flower or Flour Power. Your host this week is me, Stacy! When I thought up this challenge I thought that I had a different stamp for this using Flour, however I should look closely as it was coffee beans not flour. ACK!!! So I went with Flower for this challenge. ha! Be sure to check out the blog for prizes and sponsors today!

I stamped Poppy Cot onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. Colored with various copics. Layered the mouse panel onto another layer of classic white cut out using a spellbinders die. Added some crochet lace and ribbon underneath and tied a bow using jute twine and a button. Two simple rhinestones to the corner and voila! I adore how this turned out so crisp and clean feeling. Hope you can play along this week! Have a great day.

FS328 Rose is a Rose

This weeks Featured Stamper 328 is Colleen aka smoatsmom. Now talk about getting lost in a beautiful gallery, wow. Colleen's work is wonderful and I have been by her gallery many a times to see her beautiful work. Hard to choose what to case to be honest. I did choose this Out Of The Box Poppy to finally case. Kept the colors, oval frame, pearls and textured background. Changed the stamp, textured panel and added ribbon. Fabulous gallery really hope you can play this week.

I stamped Old Tea Rose onto Classic White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Colored with copic collections:

Die cut the rose with Spellbinders classic ovals. Added some Cheery Lynn flourishes to the side and some Kaiser snow white pearls. My oval panel is up on dimensionals. Under the panel some swiss dots for texture, a scalloped panel with some Color Made Easy Tiger Lily Mango Orange ribbon wrapped around into a ribbon bow. Voila!

Colored her with copic collections:

Cut around her image and popped it up on dimensionals, that I layered onto die shape Spellbinders Opulent Ovals in Classic Black cardstock. Some pearl bling to the corners for fun, with the sentiment rolled out of the corner. The film strip designer paper was perfect from the Theresa Collins Memories pack. Then just a little bit of the velvet and lace black ribbon for the bottom. Voila!
