Snowflake take two

This might look very similar to another card I created because it is. A reader of mine said that they couldn't get their edge to emboss the same as I had on my original Handmade Snowflakes card. Come to find out she has a different Spellbinder Border die and I said that it would look great with that set as well. That got me to thinking and to help her out I have recreated the card with the die she has. :-)

The snowflakes are from Handmade Snowflakes stamped onto Classic White card stock using Memento Love Letter. I die cut my edge using Spellbinders Curved Borders Two. Wrapped and tied off a bow with Color Made Easy Poppy Rancho ribbon. Layered onto another piece of Classic White card stock. Added a clear jewel to the sentiment from Warm Winter Wishes and voila!  Now the only difference in these two dies is that when this die is cut, it does not cut off the edge. I basically just cut along the embossed edge as shown to have the same effect. Although it looked rather nice with the edge still intact yet the sentiment would be hidden. Now I am not sure which one I like best? ha! Hope you like the new version as I do.  I hope you have a wonderful and safe New Years Eve!

Wrapped Hershey Bar

How about one last little taste of chocolate before the new year and the diet? ha!  Most are planning on their new diet they want to start come the first and the new healthy living they plan to do. Well I for one don't plan to give up ice cream so no diet for me. I created this beautiful dimensional bow using That's A Wrap Stamp set. The bow is stamped onto Classic White card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink.

There are three layers, yes three layers to the bow itself for the look of a real bow popped out. The bow and tag are colored with Copic Collections:

I hand cut each of the layers, however it would be a lot easier with the That's A Wrap Silhouette Cut File we offer, then you only would need to cut in between each of the ends rather than the whole bow. The base of the wrapper has some Color Made Easy Pistachio card stock with scrap designer wrapped around the center.

Some sparkles added to the ribbon ridges and my sentiment stamped on the tag using Classic White card stock again. Who wouldn't like a candy bar wrapped this delicious? Easy Peasy lemon squeezy!

I have a tutorial on how I created the Candy Bar Wrapper at  SweetandClassic. Enjoy!
Have a fabulous day!

FS360 Peachy Blooms

This weeks Featured Stamper 360 is Cary aka Miss Minx who has a delightful gallery. I choose this Grateful creation to case. I have kept some of the layout, the colors, a flower and design. Changed the stamp, added lace and enamel dots and changed the placement of panel.
This is Always Blooming that I have stamped onto Classic White card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink.

My blooms are colored with Copic Collections:

I used a few from each of the collections. Some have asked how many I use or if I use them all from each and no I don't necessarily. Once colored I have layered them onto our Color Made Easy True Blue card stock. The designer paper is from Carta Bella paper pack that is layered onto more Color Made Easy True Blue and some of the Color Made Easy Tiger lily card stock. Some white crochet lace trim wrapped around the bottom of the panel, then tied off some Color Made Easy Emerald Coast Paradise Aqua ribbon with a button jute twine combo. Voila! Hope you get to create today.

Deep red wreath

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas with family and received everything you wanted from Santa.  :-)  Today I am sharing another Dirt Pile creation for you using a stamp set that is on the retired list. GASP!!! I know but sometimes you have to do away with the old favorites to make room for the new. This one is called Mothers Words of Wisdom. This wreath is gorgeous and super fun to color. I have stamped the wreath onto Classic White card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink.
Colored with a few Copics from Collections

I then cut around the delicate petals of the wreath and the inside so I could pop it up on dimensionals. Some faux stitching around the edges. Isn't this stripped ribbon awesome with the jute twine and button combo? Another of my favorites and you can never go wrong with this wreath. Check out the Sale Page and all the retiring stamp sets! Have a wonderful weekend.

FS359 We Three Kings

I finally sat down and played with some paper and ink today. This weeks Featured Stamper 359 is StampinNana. I choose her Wisemen at Christmas creation to case. I kept a wise men image, the colors and some of the layout. Changed some of the layout, stamp, pearls and added a sentiment tag.
I changed the stamp using We Three Kings  stamped using Night of Navy onto blue card stock. Layered onto some white card stock. The designer paper is from the scrap bin, tied off some ribbon and my sentiment. A few jewels instead of pearls and voila! Have a Merry Christmas!

Gratitude Box and card set

I was thumbing through trying to find inspiration for a new gift set to make and I always look back at past ones I have created. This helps me get motivated with new ideas or ones I like and want to recreate with new stamps. Back when I was in the Dirt Pile over on SCS at the Dirty Dozen this was one of the creation gift sets I made.
This is the cards in the set using the stamp With Gratitude and the sentiments are from Orchids. I stamped each of the flowers and sentiment onto Classic White card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink.
My colors are various Copics from collections:

Here is the box front that holds the card. I loved how these turned out so feminine and warm. This cone flower was one of my favorites. I made my first ever flower at the time using Spellbinders Spiral Blossom Two. The flower and the floral Flourishes on the box design paper have sparkle added to them. I had some paper doilies that were added to the cards along with some beautiful Ivory Wrinkled ribbon. I love these, did I mention that? Some jute twine and Emerald Coast button on a card.

I hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by.

Need a cup of cocoa do ya

This darling little guy just tugged at the heart strings... reminds me of the boys and how much they have grown. They don't stay small forever. Sniff.. sniff... This guy is called That's Hot Max that is on classic white card stock. He is colored with Copic Markers and layered onto kraft card stock.

Some simple layers with brads to the side and textured snowflakes from Let it Snow embossing folder. Added a bit of sparkles to his scarf and hat. Voila! I totally LOVE this card... Hope you are ready for Christmas as I am still getting there. We got the tree yesterday. Just need to finish the presents, dinner menu and such.  Have a wonderful day.

Then layered onto the beautiful Perfectly Pierced Victorian Oval shape that is using Color Made Easy Poppy card stock. Added some of the Color Made Easy Pistachio Iced Lime ribbon and Color Made Easy Poppy Baby Pink ribbon tied off with some Jute twine and a button. A few jewels and my sentiment, Voila!

Check out the creations from the Design Team:
On a personal note... We are home! We got in at midnight on Wednesday and are exhausted. The last 11 days we have been in sunny warm Florida on vacation. We hit both Universal parks, Sea World, Legoland and The Disney World Parks. This was a trip in the making for 5 years and we finally went. Had a total blast!! We walked so much and wore our pedometers to see what we walked and from the wheels up at airport to wheels down we walked 99 miles, in 11 days!  GASP!!!  Some serious moving and shaking girls. I will have pictures to share and some funny stories once things settle down, but for now... Need to get the house ready for Christmas and family. Wish me luck!  ;-)  Thanks for stopping by today.

Ornament Tag

Step 1

For this project I used a Silhouette File for the stamp set I used. However you can always skip this step and create the same design without the file.

Step 2

Each snowflake is stamped with clear embossing ink. Apply silver embossing powder and heat emboss snowflakes. I used tweezers to hold the smaller snowflakes as not to burn my fingers.

Step 3

All my snowflakes are embossed lets work with the tag elements. I have Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments fro the base, Standard Circles SM for the silver and Curved Borders Two in silver card stock as well

Step 4

The snowflakes are layered with the smallest first using dimensionals. The curvy border is adhered down and cut off the edges

Step 5

Place snowflake onto the top left corner. I added a sparkly center to the snowflake, embellish as desired

Step 6

Here is the final gift tag with silver cord and ribbon added to the top. I also added more sparkler jewels. Hope you enjoy!
