Seeds of today

Good afternoon! Don't you like extra long weekends? School is out in 7 days so it will be long weekdays then, woot woot! This morning I had a little time to create before we head to the field for a game. We have graduation this weekend I need a few cards so it was perfect timing to use the new Seeds of Today image.

I know what you are thinking, this does not look like your typical graduation card and it isn't. That is why I like it.  ;-)  Very simple and the focus is springy and cheerful. Might not be a graduation card but I do like it. Not much fluff to this just added some faux double stitching to the edge of the panel. A single pink sparkler to the corner and some sparkles to the leaves of the plant. Voila!

As we have this extra long weekend for Memorial Day. Please remember those who have served our country and who currently serve to keep us safe here at home and Thank Them! Check out Leslie's fabulous creation showing off patriotic colors on the PP Blog today. Don't forget the FREE DIGI's of Let Freedom Ring sentiments are still available! Have a wonderful rest of your afternoon.

May button blessings

It is long after the time I said I would get this created and posted but here it is finally. The Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge this month is Button Up . Hope you can play along if you are a Fan Club Member.

I had one of my brother in laws in mind when I created the card and thought a tag would be perfect also. He is huge into hunting and will appreciate a wintry theme with this Birch Tree Cutting plate and the animals. I added buttons and some rhinestones to both. Pretty simple as there is no coloring and that was perfect for today.  ;-)  Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a wonderful day!

Weekend fun

Good morning! I think we are finally rested from our weekend... or at least more than we were yesterday. I keep forgetting to share pictures from baseball so i thought I would post a few from our crazy weekend. First we had the boys baseball game. This photo was taken of the three of us. See how tall they are! Gasp!!! Curtis pitched this game and he did fantastic. They both are adding another position to their game with third base and catcher.  :-)  Young and full of energy I tell you.

We celebrated their birthday this week and, wait for it... now have Drivers Permits. ACK!!!! Oh my word! These permits look nothing like the paper thing I had when I got mine. They are all fancy like and cool. They were pretty excited to get these. Took them to breakfast and then for their big gift from us... Cell Phones. I know!  We held out as long as we could but since they are in drivers education class they will need a cell phone. Besides I think that being Freshman next year they will appreciate the extra responsibility that comes with this privelage.  ;-)

Remember the table reserve signs and tags I made for our friends daughters 15th Quincenera? That was this weekend as well. yep... busy weekend. This event was from 2 -11 on Saturday. A full day oh my! Beautiful event and a wonderful time with friends. Here is a picture of the boys and Sydnee. Yes she is that short even with heels on. She had all odds against her as both her parents are super short too. ha!  She takes it in stride. especially since she is a fanstastic soccer player. She is on a travelling team for the state and everything.  What a fun event.

The other thing I helped with for the event was the signing frame she had for the guests. This will be put in a frame once her parents finally recover. ha ha!  I added the same die cut flowers and jewels to the bottom with some die cut flourishes. The center of the cross and her number 15. The letter N fell off but will be put back on. Sorry the photo isn't great but it was so busy I barely got this picture. I think you can click on each picture and zoom in?

Our busy weekend in a few photo's. ha!  I am gearing up for a class on the Book of John, a bible study that I am hoping to take. With our schedule and summer I need something to keep me from losing my mind.  :-)  We are ready for summer...school is out in 13 days. woot woot! Thanks for stopping by and sharing in my little world. Have a wonderful day.

Peony love

Friday is here and what a weekend we have planned. How about you? Before the craziness starts for me I finally got to finish my card using Peony Love that was released. Aaaahhh... Isn't this wreath just awesome! Two of my favorites Peonies and a wreath....

Mother's day is passed but I think this would work for an everyday card to send to mom, don't you think? One of  my stamping hero's is the awesome Miss Leslie. After I had this wreath all colored I happen to be on her blog, and saw her Tulips card. GASP!!! My purples don't even compare to hers and I almost didn't post this. However, she would encourage me to regardless, so here it is. ;-)  You can say Leslie inspired the finishing design to my card.  My blooms are colored in various Copic markers. I added a tinge of yellow to the tops of some of the petals for fun, because with markers you can do whatever you want.  ;-)   The base designer paper has some faux stitching around the edges and then topped off the blooms with some sparkle. Voila! Still have time to play in our Power and Spark challenge called May Flowers. Check it out and play along.

Big juicy hug

Good morning! These Juicy Strawberries were sitting on my desk asking to be colored this weekend. Since the baseball game was rained out I got to play a little bit. I printed these berries four to a page since they are the smaller sizing which makes for some quick cards. I created the first one and posted it here if you remember.
Similar design with the Spellbinders shape and some gingham paper this time die cut for the background. Then I wrapped a little bit of pleated white ribbon around the middle and some shimmery white over the top. Tied off the button and added a few pearls and sparkle to the berries.

The inside has the sentiment that goes with this set. Some matching gingham to the bottom and voila! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Thank you goodies

Happy Friday! Hopefully you had a wonderful week and are ready for the weekend. Over on the Power Poppy blog we are in week 2 of our newest Power and Spark challenge, May Flowers. Check it out and play along!

These are a few (I was not going to try and photo them all) thank you goodies. The bible class helped us out at the car show with the concessions and what kid doesn't like a good thank you with candy attached.  ;-)  Since I was making so many I didn't want the tags to be so detailed that I would tear my hair out. These are the end result and I am happy with the added touches. They actually really liked them also, which makes me happy.  My flower is from Dynamic Duos: Glads and Gerberas that are stamped on white cardstock. I stamped a whole 8 1/2 x 11 sheet with the flower, die cut out about 11 per sheet then colored them. this was a good use of time only coloring what would be on the tag.
The sentiment thank you is from stamp set So Grateful that is die cut and then popped up on dimensionals, Added some ribbon to the top with a button to tie it off and sparkles when complete. Voila!

15th Birthday Bash

Good morning! I hope your Mother's day weekend was relaxing and nice. We had a great day at the house and just hung out. Watched a few movies, let the boys practice driving (drivers-ed starts in 2 weeks) and played a board game. SO NICE!!!
As I mentioned before a friend requested a few things for her daughter's 15th birthday Quinceanera that I have been working on. She needs 8 table signs that said reserved and 20 table tags for the soccer balls that are part of the center piece. She showed me her dress, which is just beautiful and all the colors for the party and said go for it. I had drawn up a few samples for her and of course she loved them and here they are.
Here is the set below of the tags and signs for the family tables.

A close up of the reserved sign. This one is a bit blurry, sorry about that.  This letter set is retired but one of my all time favorites for elegant gifts. I have sparkles added to each letter and jewels to some of the blooms on the letters. The punched flowers are from Lil' Inkers perky posies die that I had to punch a LOT. Oh boy.... Some flourished jewels for the centers and the flowers on top with sparkle.

Then the table tags for the soccer balls (she is HUGE into soccer) and as a freshman playing on the varsity team. This will cover the company logo on the ball.  ;-)  The hexagon shape fits perfectly in the center of the ball to match. Again lots of sparkle like her dress and the jewels. I should post a picture of that when I can as its beautiful.

Two more little things to do for the party and then I will be done with this request. I will post those once I get them done. I love how versatile stamping can be besides cards. Of course I love gifts anyways, so this was fun... even with all those flowers I had to punch, glue, roll and add. ha! ha!  Thanks for stopping in today!

Mothers day and thank you

Happy Mother's day! Hopefully you have a relaxing day planned with family.
Today is also my week for the Featured Stamper challenge over on SCS and it is sad to say my last Sunday as a host. I sent Lydia a note to say I needed to step down from hosting. Life is busier than ever and going by to fast with the twins. The need to stop and enjoy it is calling me more than anything right now.  I enjoy playing along honoring creative stampers and will continue as time permits.  I really appreciate Lydia asking me to host back in 2012 and have enjoyed it, especially with the BEST hostess girls to ever work with! You girls are awesome!!! Thanks so much. Onto this weeks Featurette...

This weeks Featured Stamper 483 is Carla aka Covingtoncrafter. Carla's has a gallery full of creations from detailed to simple and sweet. I choose this Very Pink card to case. I kept with the layout, pink and white colors, butterflies, thank you and changed the rest. Enjoy your week Carla.
My butterflies are actually a stamp that is from Whiff Of Joy that I never got around to using when I got it. Gasp!!! Sad but true. The three butterflies are popped up using a dimensional and the wings have glitter on them. The sentiment is from a retired set from Flourishes. A few sparklers and voila!

One of the projects that I have been working on is just about finished that I will share with you. It is for a friends daughters Quinceanera. Let's just say I have learned more about this event than I ever knew. Wow... a lot of work and tradition go into this birthday party. Excited to see it all unfold in a few weeks too. So be on the look out for that post. Thanks for stopping in today.

Just breathe

Good morning! Power Poppy is blooming with excitement today. We have several things to share with you, including the newest Digi if you missed it yesterday called Peony Love. Available for instant coloring, with purchase.  ;-)

The new Power and Spark challenge is up with our host Miss Katie. She is giving us a doozy of a challenge this month with May flowers. A doozy, as you have to actually try and pick a favorite flower from Marcy's gorgeous collections. Yea right, that is almost impossible. We would love for you to give it a try though and play along!

Really not sure how you can pick a favorite. But I picking Climbing Clematis that is printed on white cardstock and colored with various Copic markers. Very simple design with a textured panel behind the flower panel. A die cut pennant folded over in the corner and added sequins to the center. Some sparkle and voila!

Life is busy for most of us I can imagine and this song by Jonny Diaz speaks volumes to me right now called Just Breathe.  I am reminded that all of "this" is just fluff and sometimes you need to just sit back and breathe.  Some things are just what they are, so take a minute and relax with me today and Just Breathe!
