Abundance Collection Day Four

Welcome to Power Poppy's Abundance Collection sneak peeks! We are excited to share with you today Dahlia XL. Squeel!!! Another of Marcy's large blossoms to work with and it is just as fabulous as the Tiger Lily XL. Created a fun gift bag for today. It is rather large so I took a picture out back.  This was a plain kraft gift bag and I altered it up a little bit. Some designer paper and card stock for the base. Pierced along the top and bottom of the cardstock base. Part of my sentiment stamped directly to the bag and the other to a tag.

Here is a close up as I have layered the Dahlia into three layers. and cut between the layers to add the leaves. The orange like color is actual Twinkling H20 added to the petals. Yep have those sitting around for ages and thought I would use them as well. However it has been a long time since I used those and well.... I put it on too thick I think but it looks nice in real life. A different kind of shimmer than the one from yesterday's Pearl-Ex pigments. Just trying to use up more of the stuff I collect over the years.  :-)  This flower layered is just awesome, so many possibilites.

What a fun way to use this stamp! I love the yellow and orange, those are 2 of my favorite colors for flowers, plus the layering of the flower for dimension was perfect!
