Gobble Gobble sale

Good morning. Hopefully you had a wonderful and delicious Thanksgiving with family and friends.  :-)  We have a Black Friday sale for you at Power Poppy. That's right you don't want to miss this sale. Marcy has more info over on the PP Blog for you. Be sure to check out the deals!

Today I have a creation that is Leslie inspired. It is no secret that I adore Leslie's work, the woman can do anything on paper I tell you. She is always coming up with beautiful ways to inspire me. I had tagged this wedding card found HERE that is beautiful elegance to case at a later date. I like the colors and the layout and thought of recreating that with a Christmas theme. So here it is.

I textured the pink base with a berries and pine embossing folder that I have used I think twice. The decorative scallop edge was one of things that I liked about her card to begin with. Layered my image from Rustic Rejoicing onto a scallop edge to match the base layer. Added my sentiment to the top corner and some jewels and sparkle finish it off. Voila!

So Grateful book

Finally you say... a fall themed creation. I did say I had one but needed to wait to post it for two reasons. One is it was a gift for my sister that now has this in hands. Second it was designed using the Hues To Use colors on the PP blog today.  :-)  Sneaky huh... ;-)

Back in 2002 I created a book that we write in every Thanksgiving with what we are thankful for over the last year. I have posted a picture of what our book looked like before as I had remade the original cover. It's always nice to look back over the years, especially the boys and what they write. How they develop more thoughtful and meaningful things to be thankful for as they have grown up. My sister wanted to start a book for her family so I created this one for her. And I must say I like her book more than my own now. HA!  I might need to recover mine again. Different skills and supplies come out over the years ya know.  :-)  Anyways...

The image is called Maize for Days that was printed to fit the panel I wanted. Various Copic colors were used to color the corn. A decorative Spellbinders die shape for the base. Some textured swiss dots to the cream panel and some colored brads added. Wrapped some crochet lace around the middle and some wrinkled ribbon that is probably the last of in my stash. Some gold sparkle added to the tops and voila!
My sister loved this book. I dedicated the first page in it to her family from ours. Thanks for stopping by today.

Joyful holiday wishes

Good morning. Winter Wonderland was calling my name for this creation. This paper is another one from the Birds and Berries pack. I really think I need to get another pack of that before it retires. ha ha. Haven't disliked a piece in the pack yet. Very simple today as I only used a portion of the image from Winter Wonderland.

This came together rather quick since it was only part of the image to color. Stamped my sentiments along the edge and scored around the base. The image panel is popped up on dimensionals from the base layer. A few jewels and of course sparkle. Voila! Have a wonderful day.

Berry Merry Christmas

It is Friday, yeah!!! Busy weekend planned for us as next week the kids have off for Thanksgiving break. So we are going to get all our "must do list" done this weekend so that we have a week to be free and play as they say. Woot woot! Some new goodies came in the mail today and I want to play with them next week too. Talk about incentive for mama. ha ha! Anyways...

A Christmas card using Berry Sweet Holiday stamp today. I used some more of my new Carousel Christmas paper from Bo Bunny for my card today. That was my color inspiration for the wreath. My leaves sparkle yet hard to see in the photo. I need a class on how to photo sparkle my goodness it is on just about all my cards. Added snowflake embossing to the square panel and tied some silver cord around the center. Added a button and cord bow to the edge and some jewels to finish it off. Voila!

Santa Tag

Happy Tuesday! Over on the Power Poppy Blog the new Hues to Use colors are posted as you can see below. Oh my.... Yep you knew I was playing when I saw these colors. Who doesn't love blue hues and browns and white. Fun fun fun!

With these colors I decided to ink up the new Santa image called Flowering Santa and create a tag. If you haven't bought this set yet you must go get it now. There is a lot of Santa stamps out there but this one is so different, I just adore it.

Colored his face first then added the blueish/teal color to the beard. I did keep some of his beard gray and white to help it stand out a little. Added some color to the edge of the circle panel and layered onto another white circle before the chocolate scallop base. Tied off all three colors of ribbon to the top.

Added my sentiment tag underneath the button before I tied it off with silver cord. A few rhinestones and some sparkle to finish it off. Here is a close up to see that the tips of his hair and beard have the sparkle added. Voila! Now go color and have fun today. :-)

Quick Poinsettia

Morning. Dreary weather outside sure does make it easy to sit inside for the weekend. I might as well enjoy it because this was our last free weekend again for awhile. Basketball starts up this week, the sports program needs to get going and sprinklers is just about done for Boosters. Oh the joys of being busy.  ;-)  Wouldn't have it any other way though.

Since it is dreary outside I was able to get into the stamp room for a bit and color. I thought I would play in the Portion Control challenge over on the PP Blog with this one. Stamped my Poinsettia in the two corners and colors with Copic markers. Added some designer paper to the base on the left and then added my image panel.
A few sequins and yes there is 4 instead of my traditional 3 because one dropped with glue on it and well it had to stay then. Can you tell which one that was? ha ha  Oh well... just more bling I guess. Some sparkles and voila! Hope you have a great day!

Season's Tweetings

Good morning. I don't know about you but I am amazed it is already two weeks until Thanksgiving. My word the days are going by too quickly it seems. Hopefully the weather holds up for those that are travelling this coming holiday. Well I have a Christmas card for you today not a fall one. However I did post a fall one earlier this week or at least fall feeling. hee hee  Don't worry a fall project is coming just before thanksgiving. It is a gift so I don't want to post it before I give it to her.  :-) On to today's creation....

These sweet little birdies are from Tweet Tidings. Are they not the cutest little chicks? My color choice was again from the designer paper I got a few days back called Birds and Berries. This pack is just awesome for color ideas.
Stamped part of the images onto my die cut square panels (which fits this months Power and Spark Portion Control) and then colored with Copic markers. Added a layer of embossed dots to the brown center panel. The sentiment is stamped and then a button and silver cord added to the corner. Added pearls and some sparkle to finish it off. Voila!

Barley Birthday

How about a little fall feeling card or at least fall colors? I get carried away with Christmas cards at this time and forget that there is other days to create for. haha The Hops & Barley new image was perfect for the occasion. The sentiments in this digi are perfect.

The green base is textured with a chicken wire embossing folders. Then a layer of plaid paper beneath the image panel. All die cut using stitched rectangles dies. Some old CTMH hardware for the corner and voila a fall feeling card.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Forest Finds at Power Poppy

Good chilly morning. I don't know about where you are but it is a really cold temp here and we have snow on the horizon for this afternoon. I think winter is officially here for us. In fact that is what inspired my color combination for this card today. Well that and the boys play off game Friday night was a whoppin 38 degrees outside. OH MY COLD!  And a sad note, we lost. It was a really really good game and they fought hard but in the end lost. We have a week reprieve and then off to the races with basketball. However I think this loss Friday night might carry some good news for the team we play first in basketball, so watch out. hee hee

Anyways... Power Poppy has a new digi release today called Forest Finds. Oh what a treat this is. Marcy sure has drawn up a beauty for you with this one. Check out the PP blog for details on what her inspiration was behind this fun new digi.

I had some happy mail come in this week and some of that was the awesome new Christmas paper called Birds and Berries from Wild Rose Studios. Oh the colors and designs in this pack are beautiful and inspiring for colors. That was in part some of the color choices I made for this as well. Only used 3 Copic markers on this C01, B11 and B13. Not sure if you wanted to know that but I just love how this turned out. I used some silver sparkly ribbon and sequins as accents along with a hint of sparkle. Voila!

Little blue house

Happy Friday! Today I have a creation using one of the new Christmas stamps we released recently. But first let me share with you the Power and Spark Challenge this month. Our host is Miss Cindy with Portion Control theme. Hee hee

How fun is that? Be sure to link up your creations over on the PP Blog for your chance to win!

You can see from my creation that I did not do the challenge today, but I will get to it I promise. Right now I wanted to make sure to color up this darling little village called Glitter House Village. I was going for the blue and white theme as I did not do that with a release sample. Gasp! I know you noticed as a few mentioned it to me. ha ha  Well I just thought one release without it would be a good idea. Anyways... I used several blues in the Copic family to color this. Then layered onto some cardstock. Some snowflake textures to the white base layer and wrapped crochet ribbon and ribbon around the base layer. Some sparkle and voila!

This is my calendar page for November and only one more month to go. I had fun doing these and I know that the person who I gave them to liked them. This is using the image So Grateful that is colored with Copic markers. A few enamel dots and some scrap designer paper to the bottom. Voila!

November chill

Well today is the first and that means the November Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is posted on SCS. This months challenge is all about Bbbrrr.... Lots of options for this months theme. Hope you can play along with us this month.

This is a retired Whiff of Joy stamp that I am using today. The papers were my color inspiration and just a few layers of cardstock die cut in Spellbinders shapes. A snowflake die with some sparkle added to the top. A button with some silver cord to tie off my sentiment circle. Voila!
