ODBD Anniversary Release

Happy Sunday! ODBD is celebrating 10 years and asked a few of the previous designers to join in on the celebration. What fun! I will be sharing two creations with you today to celebrate. Be sure to check out the ODBD Blog for all the new sets, other creations and all the fun.

My first card is using the stamp set God Quotes 2 and the new Fancy Circles Dies. Check out the colors from the paper pack By the Shore collection. Oh I do like these colors together. I have all the details on the cards below as well. This one has some of the added die cut flowers and pearl centers with some sequins for accents.

My second card is a 5x5 square card one of my favorite sizes. My sentiment is from the God Quotes 2 again and then I did a little shadow stamp of the flip flops from the set Walk with Jesus to match the designer paper. Some piercing around the edge of the base layers to match the die square behind Fancy Circles. A few large jewels for the sides and voila!

Columbine Friday

Happy Friday! Hopefully you are ready for the weekend and have some relaxing planned. Not so much at our house but that is totally fine. Did have sometime to get a creation done with the newest Instant Garden digi called Cup of Columbine. What a beautiful array of flowers and so different in colors, I went ahead and google them. I choose to work with purple and a darker red for today's card. Marcy has notes and inspiration on the Power Poppy Blog for you to check out as well.

This is rather easy peasy since time has been limited, but what is knew? ha ha!  I have colored these beautiful blooms with various Copic markers and then rounded the corners of the image panel. Added a heart die cut to the base and some scrap designer paper that matches the colors of the blooms. A few sequins added and some sparkle to the red blooms. Voila!

Beautiful bouquet

Morning. These wonderful blooms are called Pure Prairie Bouquet.  This is a rather vibrant and colorful array of flowers so I tried to re-create the idea in my head using the Prisma Colored pencils. Yes I am addicted to these and need practice.  :-)  I think the blue flowers are my favorite but you knew that already didn't you? hee hee

I have the stamp set but used the digi for this as it was in my printed stack that I am trying to twindle down a bit. The only accent I have here is the little scallop border to the left and some sequins. The green background paper was suppose to draw out the leaves and stems but not sure I accomplished that quite right. Oh well... Live and you learn right.  I hope you have a GREAT day today! Thanks for stopping by.

Penciled Orchids cascading

Morning. So yes I have been going a little crazy with the colored pencils I know, but I need a lot of work still. And the only way to get it right is to keep coloring and trying, right? Yet another one using the Prisma colored pencils and the new Instant Garden release called Orchid Cascade

I made a mistake when I had this printed as I thought it was kraft card stock, but in fact it was chocolate. EEK! Well why not give it a try? The colors turn out more vibrant on the chocolate paper verses the kraft isn't that interesting.
Using one of the sentiments in the digi and just moved it over to be under the petals a little bit. A few sequins for accents and voila! Thanks for stopping by today.

Penciled Pansies

Good morning and welcome to the weekend. hee hee  If you get a chance check out the new Power and Spark challenge this month with our host Ally. The challenge is Fabric inspired. How fun is that , with all the beautiful fabrics out there it will be hard to pick. I will be playing later this month hopefully. Be sure to check out the PP blog for details.

This creation is using Pansies. Using two of my new purple shades of Prisma colored pencils and a light blue color. The green shades I already had and then a hint of brown for the centers and some vanilla. I do like how this turned out.
Die cut the flowers and made sure that the petals that over extended the die were popped out from the panel. A decorative die for the background and some light blue paper. Tied off a ribbon bow with some silver cord and jewels to finish it off. Voila!

Winter Friends

Hello and welcome to the Dirty Dozen March Christmas challenge. This months challenge I knew what I was going to use as this is one of my favorite WOJ images. It is retired but one of my favorites. I do think that I should of blended the colored pencils a bit more in spots and I might go back and do that now that I look at it. Anyways....

Kept this really simple with just a little bit of piercing down the left side of the image panel and the right side of the sentiment. A scallop border look along the designer paper side and some sparkles and a few scattered sequins to finish it off. Voila! Hope you get a chance to play along with us this month. Have a great day.
