Sweet Music

Evening. I am putting the June Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge up a little early as I will not have computer access tomorrow. This months challenge is fun and I hope you get to play along. You can find the challenge HERE. These guys are called Trumpet Blast from my House Mouse collection. Are they not so sweet?

These guys are colored with various Copic markers and then die cut with a stitched rectangle. Pulled out my large Spellbinder rectangle die for the base embossing, then a stitched rectangle over the top. Layered my designer paper to the base white and wrapped some ribbon around the bottom. Just a few gold metal corner accents and some sparkle to the wings and snow. Voila! Have a wonderful day.

Theo's 1st birthday

Is this little dino adorable or what? He is from Bugaboo called Dino Birthday. Perfect for the birthday card I needed. Vibrant colors as you can see but it is a 1st birthday card. hee hee

Several dies used for this from the balloons, to the pennant and the number one. Lots of sparkles and then I also stamped Happy Birthday sentiment to the balloon itself. Voila! Thanks for stopping by today.

Hello gift bag

Good morning, are you enjoying your Monday? I am in the craft room so I sure do enjoy this Monday.  :-)  This fun little bag tutorial was on SCS the other day and it was perfect for what I needed. Grabbed the stamp set Always Here to play with.

This is a large image however you are able to use portions of the image. Actually stamped the entire image and then thought I would layer it with a die for a tag. Colored the image with various Copic markers and popped the center part of the image up on dimensionals. Added a button and twine to adhere to the little tote bag. Voila! Off to create some more. Have a wonderful day!

Positive thoughts

Happy Friday and extra long weekend for most. Grabbed the newest Bee Kind Toile stamp set today and thought these flowers were looking might fun to color. I took one of the many flowers in this set and stamped them across at an angle so I could add the die cut decorative edge along the bottom piece. Colored the flowers with Copic markers and then die cut the edge.

Layered this panel onto some black cardstock and then some red base. The bee's have a little buzzing trail just by adding some black tiny dots where I wanted them for fun. No sparkle on this card if you can believe that. I wanted to and almost did, but thought it was fine without. Voila!
This weekend is full of softball games as the girls made it to the state play off's. The games today and tomorrow determine 1-4th in the state. Woot woot!!! I will get some stamping time in though so I am VERY EXCITED!  Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Rose bookmark

Morning! I enjoy reading and my bookmarks tend to get rather worn from use, so why not create a new one for myself. This did not quite turn out like I had pictured in my head but I do like it. Artistic Bouquet is a large image but I thought using partial of the image would be great for my bookmark. Besides this makes the rose stand out more.  ;-)

Yellow is my favorite color for roses and since I had colored that first I needed to figure out the rest of the colors as I went. Added some Spellbinders designer cut edges to the green apple cardstock and layered onto the chocolate base. Then ribbon tied to the top with a button and twine. Finished it off with some sparkle and voila!

Poppy XL tote

Good morning. Did you happen to see last week of sneak peeks at Power Poppy? This Creative + Curious release was AWESOME! Marcy has a way of bringing stamps to life with her drawing and designs each and every release. She keeps out doing the last release and I think how does she do it.  :-)  Be sure to check out the PP Blog for all 11 stamp sets, yes 11 stamp sets with names of each Bloomie and sneak peeks. For a full look at each stamp set check out the Creative + Curious release and matching dies

If you have been to my blog at all you know that the new Poppy XL was going to be one of my favorite new XL flowers. Talk about awesome and I just loved fussy cutting this bloom. If you aren't a fan of fussy cutting, no need to worry Marcy thought of you as she created the matching Poppy XL Die for those who prefer a much faster method making this bloom stand out. hee hee I will say though I have a cool idea that I hope to get to the coming week's with this die and stamp so be on the look out. In the mean time here is a little gift tote using the Poppy XL stamp set.
The tote die is from ODBD that is using pink cardstock. In looking at this bloom now, I would of colored the inside stem of the bloom a darker yellow with more grey hues, but too late now.  I cut around each of the stems, leaves and blooms and arranged them on the embossed based. My sentiments for a birthday gift and some sparkle and sequins to finish it off. Voila!

For you last minute sneak peek followers, Marcy has a sale going on for the new release. See banner below. Have a wonderful Monday!

This was a digi that came out awhile and I am happy to see it in clear form as well. Very simple card with Copic coloring and some sequins accents. My sentiment is die cut with a circle die layered onto a flag die cut. Easy peasy!

Bee kind

Good morning and welcome to our Creative + Curious Collection release at Power Poppy! Marcy's magic is at it again and you will want to check out each day for the sneak peeks we have for you.

Today's showcase is... Always here and Bee Kind Toile. This little hive is just darling. My base designer paper has some faux stitching around the scallop edge then added to the base. Scallop circle to match and then some sequins scattered about. I thought the bee trail matched the stitching and was perfect to add to the sentiment banner. Easy peasy!

Wild Mushrooms

Good morning and welcome to our Creative + Curious Collection release at Power Poppy! Marcy's magic is at it again and you will want to check out each day for the sneak peeks we have for you.

Today's showcase is... Artistic Bouquet and Wild Mushrooms. My creation is using Wild Mushrooms.

I actually googled these mushrooms to see their environment and look what I found. Some beautiful colors that I never would of thought of in a mushroom. Super fun vibrant orange and red with the earthy colors of the ground. Used a retired heart die light for the die cut edge of the red paper. Pierced around the yellow gingham. A few sequins, and my sentiment flag with a button and some twine. Voila!

Rock this day

Good morning and welcome to our Creative + Curious Collection release at Power Poppy! Marcy's magic is at it again and you will want to check out each day for the sneak peeks we have for you.

Today's showcase is... Big Sexy Leaves and Poppy XL. My creation is using Big Sexy Leaves.

These leaves are just wonderful and the ideas you can do with them. Here is my first with the leaves. I used just about every green colored Copic I had in my bin. ha ha  Added a pink scallop border across the bottom to accent the pink on the leaves. My sentiment is from Small but mighty affirmations set with a scallop edge behind. A few sequins accents and voila!

Lilac good time

Good morning! Over on the Power Poppy blog the new Power and Spark challenge is up and ready for your creations. This months host is Christine with some fun. Check out the PP Blog for all the details and linking your creations. You just might win some Power Poppy Bucks!  :-)

My creation today is very simple since I couldn't get any mojo going this week. Taking a month off probably wasn't such a good idea. However it sure is nice to me inking up my blooms again. This is Lilac Time that I thought would be perfect for some color.

Now that I am looking at this I think I should of done some shadows of the lilac behind the main image. Too late now but a good after thought. ha ha  The flower is colored with gray hues and them some purple hues to go with the black and white with a touch of color challenge this month. A spellbinder die for the base and then some sparkle and pearls to finish it off. See... easy peasy.

Welcome to the May Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge. This months challenge can be found HERE and I hope you play along. Santa has some warm wishes to send to someone this year. :-)

Well my month off from stamping sure was nice but now I am thinking ACK!!! Rusty but I am going to dive right in and get to coloring. This is Flowering Santa that is colored with Copic markers and a simple piercing around the edge. Some scrap designer paper from the bin for the side edge with piercing down the side. Some stickles and a few sequins. Voila! Hope you can play along this month! Thanks for stopping by.
